rcc roof slab cost per sq ft |What is the cost of RCC slab per sq ft
RCC (concrete+shuttering) Roof slab cost per sq ft = Rs.150-200/- (Scroll down and get detailed calculation) -
NOTE - The above cost exculding beam (concrete , shuttering & reinforcement)
Rcc roof slab cost per sq ft
In this Post, we know about rate analysis for RCC slab with grade M20
(1:1.5:3).
Rate analysis include
- material cost,
- labour cost,
- overhead expenses,
- contractor profit ,
- cost of equipment or tools,
- cost of steel,
- cost cement,
- cost sand aggregate,
- cost water
The construction cost for the RCC roof slab depends on lots of variables like:
- Thickness of slab
- One-way or two-way slab
- Construction method and
- The thickness of beam and column
- grade of concrete
- grade of steel
Residential Building Cost per Square feet
Let us assume a slab thick 130mm, Grade M20 (concrete) & Steel Fe500
First, we calculate rate analysis for 1 m3 RCC slab work and then find rate analysis for 1sqft RCC slab work. M20 grade of rcc have cement, sand & aggregate ratio of 1:1.5:3 in which one part is cement, 1.5 part is sand and 3 part is aggregate.
1. MATERIAL COST CALCULATION
step 1,
Dry volume- We have the wet volume of RCC slab work is 1m3 & we have to convert wet volume into dry volume, we will multiply 1.54 by wet volume.
Dry volume = 1.54 × 1 = 1.54 m3.
step 2
Cement quantity- we know that cement density is 1440 kg/m3 &1 bag of cement weight is 50 kg
Quantity of cement = 1/5.5 × 1.54 m3 × 1440 kg/m3 = 4032 kg, no of bag cement for 10m3 rcc slab 1:1.5:3 (m20) = 403.2/50 = 8.06 bags
If rate of cement = INR 450 per bag, then cost of 8.06 bags cement = 80.64×350 = INR 3,628/-
step 3,
Sand quantity - Generally sand measured in CFT & cum
Quantity of sand = 1.5/5.5 ×1.54 × 35.3147 = 14.8 cft, so 14.8 cft sand quantity required for 1m3 rcc slab grade m20
If the market rate of sand is considered INR 60 per cft, then the cost of 14.8 cft of sand = 14.8 × 60 = INR 890 /-
step 4
Aggregate quantity - Generally aggregate measured in CFT & cum
Quantity of aggregate = 3/5.5 ×1.54 × 35.3147 = 29.6 cft.
If the market rate of aggregate is considered INR 50 per cft, then the cost of 296 cft aggregate = 29.6 × 50 = INR 1,484/-
step 5
Steel quantity - Steel quantity required for RCC slab is about 80 kg -100kg per m3, So Steel required for 1m3 RCC slab = 80×1 = 80 kg =0.8 quintal.
if market rate of steel = INR 8000 per quintal, then cost of0.8 quintal steel = 0.8 × 8000 = INR 640/-.
step 6
Miscelleanus Quantity
1.5 kg of binding wire required in bar bending schedule, their rate is 65 rupees per kg,then cost of 1.5 kg binding wire = 1.5 × 65 = INR 98/-
Sub total cost of material = cost of steeel + cost of binding wire + cement cost + sand cost + aggregate cost
= 3628 + 890 +1484 + 640 + 98 = INR 6,740/-.
2. LABOUR COST CALCULATION
Step 1,
labour rate and charges
Labour rate is INR 1,560 per m3 for rcc slab
Consider shuttering + bar bending cost, if the shuttering rate is rs 30 per sq ft and bar bending cost is rs 8 per kg,
We have 1m3 = 1 × 35.3147 = 35.4 cft, thickness of RCC slab is 5 inch =5/12 = 0.416, then area of rcc slab in square feet = 354/ 0.416 = 85 sq ft,
- shuttering cost = 85 × 40 = INR 3,400/-
- bar bending cost = 8 × 85 = INR 680/-
Subtotal = 3400+ 680 = INR 4,080/-
Step 2
water charge
Quantity of water required in RCC concreting work used for preparing of mix & curing, consider 1.5% cost of water, then 1.5% = INR 300/-
Step 3
Overhead expenses
consider 2% overhead expenses = INR 600/-.
Step 4,
cost of equipment and tools
consider cost of equipment or tools is 4 %,then 4% of 89041 = INR 400/-
step 5,
contractor profit
consider contractor profit is 10%, then 10% = INR 800/-
= 4080 + 300 + 600 + 400 + 800 = INR 6,180/-.
TOTAL COST = MATERIAL COST + LABOUR COST
= 6,740 + 6,180
= Rs.12,920/-
For RCC Slab (concrete+shuttering) the amount required is 12920/85 =Rs.152/-
RCC (concrete+shuttering) Roof slab cost per sq ft =Rs.150-200/-
conclusion:-
What is the cost of RCC slab per sq ft Rs.150-200/-
