We have four cardinal 

1.NORTH

2.SOUTH

3.EAST

4.WEST

and four intercardinal directions

1.North-west

2.North-east

3.South-west

4. South-east. 

Each direction indicates an aspect of life and is governed by various gods.

While North is the direction for wealth

south is for dharma

West and East are for prosperity and overall

why we need Vastu for home?

• Vastu scientifically depends on the sunlight and airflow of the environment system.
•  For our home, we need mainly air circulation & sunlight, to achieve this both we need to follow Vastu. 
• To start consideration of Vastu first we need to find the North direction.
•  Because the north is considered as a reference point in our buildings and also auspicious since of magnetic line of forced moves for the north to south.

14 Vastu check - HOME

1.  After the bed is layed in the bed room, the room should have less space on the south and west sides when compared to the east and north.
2. The mirror should be placed at the south corner wall and it should not be in front of the bed.
3.  Keep a window or a door at northeast corner. And keep the window always open at that corner.
4. Keep Buddha or load Ganesha statue in front of main door.
5. All idols of god should face east for good results.
6. Room or house should always be in square or rectangles.
7. Airflow & sunlight should always come from northeast direction.
8.  Adopt pet dogs, because dogs stay in positive energy places.
9. Cooking should be east-facing.
10. At northeast corner or at the main entrance.
11. Take all the decisions facing towards the north for good results.
12. Study facing east and north for a better and good result.
13. Construct a window or door for a puja room in such a way that the morning sun rays directly fall on the idols in poojaroom, which give more energy or power to your prayers.
14. South-west corner wall should be higher than compared to other direction of walls.
